Premiere Cottages: Canton Cottage

I recently had the need for my sister, who is 73 years old, to live at one of the Premiere Cottages facilities managed by Jose Umana. The experience with working with Jose and his staff was outstanding. Jose took the time to listen to my sister’s specific needs so her transition would be as smooth as possible. His responsiveness was excellent on any issues or questions we had. The Staff were always attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend Jose Umana and the Staff at Premiere Cottages.

Recently, on extremely short notice, I was in need of a residential care facility for my husband. After visiting several referrals, I ultimately decided on Shinkle Cottage, not only because I felt it best suited the needs of my husband, but also because of the utmost courtesy shown to me by the caregivers when I dropped in on them for a tour of their facility. As well, you couldn’t find a more gentle and caring man than José, the facility’s administrator. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Shinkle Cottage to anyone in need of a warm and welcoming home environment for their loved one.

My 94 year old father fractured his hip in January of this year and while he was in a rehab hospital we began to search for a residential care facility. We decided to hire a placement agency to help us locate an ideal facility. They were able to locate a number of residential care facilities within about 5 miles of my home. We went to see them all but the best one was clearly Shinkle cottage. We were very impressed with the management by Jose Umana who was very knowledgeable, organized and had very excellent interactions with his caregivers and the existing residents. The caregivers led by Noel were very helpful and we could tell they were all kind and truly made the environment seem like a very happy and healthy home. They keep my father well groomed and fed and look after his every need. I could not have asked for a better group of caregivers and administrator. They have continued to perform at what I would consider an outstanding level. My family and I visit my father several times each week and we have never had anything but praise about this facility including the excellent meals.

Larry & I just wanted to say thank you for providing such wonderful care for Audrey during her last days. Even though we were unable to visit, the staff kept us informed. they even let our granddaughter visit so she could give Audrey a pillow she had made. We just wanted you to know how much we appreciated it. Keep up the good work! Everyone should be as lucky as we were!
