Testimonials
Everything gets a 5. [name removed] was wonderful. I had very little time to make a decision and I had no idea what I was doing. [name removed] expertly and compassionately guided me. The Community- you can tell everyone is well trained, there is a lot of consistency and professionalism and empathy. They personalize their care for each resident. I feel many know my Dad and understand his needs. I think it helps that it's not a large facility. And many times the staff separates them into smaller groups for activities. And the activities are according to their abilities.

The furniture in my mom's room should have been moved when the room was vacuumed. Staff should have helped her with keeping the kitchen sink clean. My MIL couldn't stand and take care of the few dishes that she had. They were very nice overall, but there were a couple of aides that were rough handling my MIL. She was afraid of retaliation and generally didn't speak up. The nurses were great! I like the new director. She seems to really care about everyone. And she has a lot of energy. We wonder if an oxygen machine with a higher concentration level would have been helpful? If you are helping someone with COPD, find another place. Lovely activities director, but some of the residents could have used more challenging activities. More physical therapy options would have been helpful, too. An
The only intellectual stimulation is TV. There are only a smattering of men, my loved one did not receive PT until the last two weeks, and that was only because his sister and her husband joined me in confronting the director about all they had not provided to help him recover. Prior to his stay there, my loved one had spent three and a half weeks inpatient at Burke Rehabilitation hospital and he lost ground at sunrise.
