  “This facility must be under new management. My experience with having my great grandmother here has been a blessing. They took her from a neglectful situation and brought her literally back to life. My great mother did great there, they gave her confidence tought her independence, she made best friends, and gained 8lbs in just a few months. The Therapy team was amazing. I visited her on weekends and the Activity team made her feel alive again. I was always greeted by the nicest nurses and staff. My greatmother considers them all family. Thank you Harborview for loving my Nana.”

  “Beware of putting your family members under this facility's care. While everyone working seems very kind when you are visiting, they can be incredibly negligent to the people in their care. My father has been a patient at Harborview for several months, things seemed fine in the beginning but in the last month the care he receives has been unacceptable: At the end of July, my mother went to visit and found out that my father was very ill, had vomitted several times and was unable to keep food down. He had a very high fever and bad cough. The nurse practitioner on property insisted it was likely only a virus and opted to treat the nausea and symptoms, essentially belittling my mother's concern. As my father's conditions was not improving my mother decided to have him transferred to the ER. He had a fever of 105 and was diagnosed with pneumonia in his left lung and was hospitalized for several days. Just last week my father was very upset and wanted to fill out a grievance form due to his CNA Sivitra being rude and lacking compassion. My father has diabetes, very limited mobility and speech issues. My neice informed me that the woman is very vocal about her complaints of the patients in her care, which is entirely unacceptable. This woman was removed from my father's care, but it's insane that such a person remains employed in a healthcare facility. Most egregiously, this week my father was uncharacteristically lethargic for two days. My mother had him transferred to the ER again (not even a month since his last visit). The EMTs discovered that my diabetic father's blood sugar was over 500. It seems that Harborview has not been giving him his daily insulin. In order for someone's blood sugar to reach that level, they have been missing their insulin for several days, with the next symptoms resulting in a diabetic coma. My father is still in the hospital due to this facility's clear neglect. We are hoping to find a better facility to move my father to even though this one is the closest and allows my mother to see him everyday. In the mean time I hope this review will help people avoid similar awful situations and wakes the caretakers at this facility to do better by those in their care.”
