I can't say enough good things about CanyonTrails. The director isattentive and always involved. Her husbandeven makes special appearances. :) The frontdesk is always aware, and helpful. My favorite part is that they update theirFacebook page often so I can see my momenjoying her days. Thanks for making hertime special Canyon Trails!
My husband was a resident, at Canyon Trails, for 5 months, before he passed away. I really cannot say enough about the excellent level of care he received. The staff is loving, and kind. They were able to give my husband the care that I was no longer able to provide for him, at home. I was so impressed with everyone there, from the director, to the front desk personnel, all caregivers, the maintenance person, and crew.
To anyone worried about this being a safe and welcoming environment for their loved ones, I hope this post puts you at ease. My mother stayed here during the most challenging part of her life battling dementia. I watched her get out of her shell, make friends, and participate in all the activities with a smile. The staff was kind, patient, and considerate from the beginning until the end. They made the last year of my mother's life so easy for both her and my family. It brought me so much comfort to know she was in good hands. Before coming here, my mother wanted to stay in isolation and was afraid to interact with others. After a month to adjust, I saw her gain some levels of independence back and watched her enjoy socializing again. I cannot thank Canyon Trails enough for creating such a safe environment for her and for my family to visit. I am happy we chose to extend her care to a place where she can be looked after in such a caring way. If you are worried about this next step for your loved ones, I was too, but I could honestly say I could not have had a better experience. Thank you Canyon Trails for making such an easy transition for my mother and my family. Most of all, thank you for being there for her till the end. She loved it here, and so did we.
What the heck?? Free Jazz Night!? You gotta be kidding!!!! This place is beautiful and the fact that they're doing this is stinkin awesome! The staff is wonderful and the events are insane! Would totally recommend! Oh and did I mention, FREE JAZZ NIGHT!?! FREE! JAZZ!!!NIGHT!!!!Woohoo!!!
I toured more Assisted Living Facilities than I can count looking for a home for my Aunt, who has dementia that requires a fair amount of assistance, but isn't quite at the memory care stage yet. From the moment I spoke to Josh on the phone, I had high hopes I'd found a solution I could feel good about. Our tour confirmed that. Canyon Trails was head and shoulders above every facility in our price range -- and on par with those that weren't in most ways. It is gorgeous, clean and well appointed. The rooms are spacious. The staff responsive, accomodating and kind. My Aunt isn't thrilled with the idea that she needs to be somewhere other than home (she does not accept her diagnosis or realize how much she struggles, really), but she can't say enough about how kind they are and how well they care for her. I am grateful beyond words.
1/2025 ETA: I wound up moving my mom in for 6 months, but unfortunately having her in the Valley was too far for me, especially having to take her to her doctor visits on the Westside. I loved Canyon Trails, and my mom did too. They really care about their residents and so many of their employees have been there for years. I just wish they were closer, otherwise my mom would still be there. Susan and her staff are absolutely fabulous and I miss all of them! I would not hesitate to recommend Canyon Trails. ----------------- This is just my review of the tour I received today. I am in the early stages of looking for an assisted living/memory care facility for my mom. This whole process is very new to me and is rather daunting and stressful for me and my family. My mom has lived alone for years, but recent events have led us to consider having her moved into an assisted living/memory care facility. I've toured a few places, but the high pressure sales tactics were gross. They want you to sign the papers that day, like a used care salesman would have you do. And if you don't, they call you relentlessly. Those tactics make me feel like they aren't really listening to my concerns and to my mom's needs and just want to make the sale. I did not feel that way at all with my tour with Jeanette. She was so patient and kind and really seemed like she was passionate about her work and cared for the residents. It was not all about making a sale for her. She was matter of fact and educated me on the process. There was no hard sell at the end of the tour, which was awesome. I have a lot to think about, but Canyon Trails is definitely a contender for me! P.S. The facility was very nice as well!
Canyon Trails is a beautiful facility; Working in a medical field as a hospice nurse for years, there's a so much emotions, needs and care that is needed to give and provide; i can honestly say that this facility never fails to provide a quality of care in regards to i think their main core services and these are continuity of care, accommodations, security, meals, supervision, assistance with activities of daily living and customer service. In this facility i can assure that all patients always feel like its home.
Canyon Trails is a wonderful assisted living filled with caregiving staff that takes excellent care of there residence. I've been a visiting nurse coming to this facility for a long time and I always find the med techs, Jennifer and Kevin, and wellness director, Lilliana to be very on top of what is going on with each resident that I have cared for. The front desk staff is always welcoming, and it's never hard to find someone within the facility to assist you with any needs. I always look forward to going to Canyon Trails AL.

We have been at Canyon Trail for two weeks now. It’s been an amazing transformation for my Mom. She has made friends, does daily activities, has encouragement from staff and three meals she actually enjoys! It is really a new life. The outside yard area is huge and gorgeous with plenty of seating. I think having that outdoor access is key. We could not be happier. Staff is lovely. A few hiccups in the beginning but honestly nothing big. Very clean and smells clean. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for assisted to memory care.

After touring several assisted living facilities for our parents we decided Canyon Trails was the right fit. The staff are very friendly and supportive to all of our needs and the level of care has exceeded our expectations. It’s been two months and mom and dad have settled in wonderfully.
