Dear Linda, You provide such an important needed ministry of love and compassion at Chloie’s Cottage 1 & 2. I think the government should be awarding huge grants to board and care homes who do so much for our precious oldest generation. It takes very special people to do what you all do. We love our Chloie’s family. I just want to thank you all for providing the safe Haven of Chloie’s for mom and daddy. I could tell daddy was relieved to be “home” thank God!!!!! We had a sweet visit and I notice all the small things the caregivers do for the residents, truly being “the hands and feet of Jesus”. Mom seems like her meds are finally figured out, her sense of humor is back even if she’s in her own reality. Our parents are so precious to us and now so are all at Chloie’s ….feeling like family. We are beyond grateful for you. For our parents, Roy and Joni Bicker With love, Julie, Jen and family

Testimonials
Chloie’s Cottage, My brother Dennis and I want to thank all of you at Chloie’s Cottage, for the outstanding care you gave our mother Merium. You gave her loving, kind and expert care, sometimes during difficult times. Although she wasn’t with you long, her stay was significant and important during those last days. Our mother was a devoted Christian and it was not easy to find her a place that would meet her spiritual needs as well as her physical needs. You did all of that. We would recommend this home to anybody looking for a peaceful place for their loved one when they are no longer able to live on their own. We would also add that being a Christian is not a perquisite because it seems that all would be welcome regardless of personal beliefs. May God keep blessing you as you continue on this important and necessary service to the community. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden” Matthew 5:14 With gratitude and love, Sandra and Dennis
Dear Linda, I have thanked the Lord for you so many times. This could never have happened without Jesus and you. He is so evident in your life. I remember when I was feeling so hopeless in my search for a place for my mom, where she would feel loved, and a place where my mom would be safe and cared for. I was blown away to read all the many comments of people sharing about “your” kindness and your caring heart, always going the extra mile in helping people. You will probably never really know how much you have blessed others. I remember how touched I was reading about all the special things you do for the residents, and your incredible caregivers, and all the pictures of your beautiful homes decorated so warm and pretty. Even though you’re a character and such a funny girl, I have seen the beauty of your soul. It is my sincere prayer that God will bless you with every beautiful blessing that comes from Him. I am crying as I write this. I am overwhelmed with thankfulness. If you ever need help with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask. Lastly, I thank you for everything you did to help me take care of my mom at home while waiting for a vacancy in Chloie’s Cottage. From the bedside commode, the diapers, the sensors, having her meds delivered to my door, coordinating her care with CareMore, Owl Rexall Pharmacy, to your advise, suggestions, your compassion, and your encouragement and your friendship. I can never find the words to express what’s in my heart. May the Lord bless you and protect you all the days of your life. Love, Cathy and Ron Ruff and family
Dear Linda, Thank you so much for caring for our mom Jennie. The Lord directed us to you through a friend and by the time mom finished rehab, she moved into her new home. After several months she did indeed refer to Chloie’s Cottage as HOME. Those were wonderful words to hear! much thanks and blessings to you. Love, Carolyn, Jon and Stan
Dear Linda, On behalf of my Mom, Helen, I thank you for all of the loving care you provided to her. Your heart is so generous toward your residents and you made her last 8 years of life so joyous. She would have liked to give you this small gift as a sign of her appreciation and affection. Words cannot express my gratitude to you. I pray that God blesses you abundantly always! Sincerely, Mary Haddad
Dear Linda, We’re so grateful for you and Chloie’s Cottage providing wonderful, loving care for our mom for the last almost 3 years of her life. We’ve enjoyed the relationships made with the staff and with you, and will miss that. I’m hoping we can stay in touch! Love, Kay’s family Beth, Yvonne, Marla & Heidi
Linda, God truly brought you and your home to us and we are forever grateful for the love and care you gave to our Nana these last years. She was truly at home and felt loved. The love of Christ is in that home and that is truly evident. Each day we were blessed by your loving faithful caregivers. You and your staff will forever be in our hearts. May the Lord continue to bless this home with caregivers who love deeply and care tenderly. God Bless! With love, The Pulice Family
To Chloie’s Cottage staff and family, Our Mother lived in this place of love, tender care and attentiveness for over five years, just passing away this last June of 2015. The owner Linda Renard is the most wonderful person, and I do not say that about just anybody especially in regards to someone as important as our Mom. My older brother Chuck and I looked for such a special place, and we were led to this home away from home. Our Mom was very happy there, she felt loved and respected. I can not tell you how much of a burden of worry and care was lifted from my siblings and I as we entrusted the care of our Mom to Chloie’s Cottage. With an open invitation to visit Mom as much as we wanted, with complete support and participation in our Moms needs and enjoyments in celebrating birthday etc, Linda was always like one of the family. And even now as we approach tomorrow what would have been our Mom’s 92 birthday, Linda is still attentive, considerate and contacts us with her thoughtful care and love regarding our Mom. I give Chloie’s Cottage five stars for this unique and quality service to the community of San Dimas, CA. God Bless you Linda Renard!!! Love in Christ, Annie O’Brien
If I have to rate Chloie’s Cottage, I would first and foremost say that the owner Linda is great. I’m very happy and my mom really likes it there. It is clean, tidy and the caregivers are friendly and very kind. They have also taught me to be more patient and understanding of dementia. Not only by their words, but their loving examples of kindness. They helped her settle in when she first moved there and kept me up to date on how my mom was doing. It’s the extra touches that make it nice and comfortable. I really enjoy going over to visit. And the meals look and smell incredible. One thing I wish they had was more activities, but when I mentioned it right away, they began jewelry making and my mom loves it. She even made me a bracelet. Anonymous
I would like to thank Chloie’s Cottage for the way they took care of my mom, as a patient and as a part of the Chloie Cottage family! My mother lived there for 6 years and we never had any complaints, only good words from her. I would like to thank everyone for their love and care for not only my mother, but for the other patients, too. This is why I have peace in my life because of the care she had at Chloie’s Cottage. Thank you Linda and your staff! Raul A. Ries (Jesus…the expression of God’s love!)
I would like to commend Chloie’s Cottage for their personal loving care of all their live-in patients. My mother Josephine Ries has been cared for the last 4 years and I am so grateful for the quality of care she has and is receiving on a daily basis. I thank the Lord Jesus for sending Linda to us to have my mom move in to Chloie’s Cottage and I will never be able to repay Nancy, Julie and the others that have given of themselves unselfishly to the care of the elderly at a time when they are most vulnerable. I never worry about the safety or care of my mom, so I am able to have peace of mind when I am away from her. I can only pray and hope that other elder care houses are like Chloie’s Cottage. Thank you Linda and staff Xavier Ries
Dearest Linda, Thank you so much for the gorgeous plant arrangement you sent for my mom’s passing. It was so incredibly beautiful and still is! We split up the plant and potted them and they are doing great. The memory of your kindness lives on… Thank you too for the wonderful care and kindness you gave to my mom and family. We feel so blessed to have had her at Chloie’s Cottage. So comforting to have her there. If there is ever anything I can do for you, just let me know. God bless you Linda, Marianne Kindrich
Dear Linda and wonderful caregivers: I just want to thank you for the comfort, love and support you gave my mother while she was at Chloie’s Cottage, and especially during the last months and week of her life. I’m so grateful that we were able to have her in your good care for the last couple of years. The caregivers provided her with so much love and attention, especially when she was not feeling well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget you and the kindness you showed my mother, me and my family. Love, Paula Barsamian
I have known Linda for over 10 years; first as her next door neighbor and now as a close friend and co-worker in Christian ministry. It is impossible to mention all of her wonderful qualities in this letter, however, I would like to tell you some of her characteristics as a caregiver that I have been privileged to observe closely. Linda possesses not only an acute field knowledge of care providers but also the most genuinely compassionate heart toward elderly people. Her painstaking dedication in caring for her parents over the last decade has been most admirable and heartwarming. What strikes me the most about her characteristics is her clear conscience that leads her to make correct decisions for her parents as she deals with their day to day health related issues. I have watched over the years how deeply she was concerned about their comfort and well being. During the period in which her parents were in a care facility, I remember she visited them practically every day and monitored their health very closely. She also took time to see my mother who went through a health crisis and needed to make a decision whether to undergo surgery or not. Linda was there for my family and eased us with her knowledge and sound judgement. I appreciated her timely advise that proved to be correct and thus brought my mom’s health back. Her hands-on experience caring for elderly people are very valuable. In addition, I must tell you about her personality. She is intelligent and witty. She brings laughter with a delightful sense of humor. She is gentle and firm at the same time. People like to be around her because she is radiant, kind and understanding. People come to our weekly Bible Study meeting which is being held at her home not only because of her dedication to the ministry, but also because of her gracious hospitality. Very truly yours, Helen Mah Director of Finance, The Ludwig Foundation hmah@ludwick.org
You are a blessing to our family. Thank you for making our mother’s 100th birthday so special. It was a perfect party! We love the quilt you had made for her. It is a wonderful thoughtful gift. The cake was sparkling! May God bless you as you bless all those at Chloie’s Cottage. Lovingly, Elsie Panago’s family
It has been my privilege to be a neighbor and friend to Linda Renard for the last 5 years. Linda’s parents have attended the church I pastor and I can attest to the dedicated care which she has given to them in their elderly years. Since the loss of her mother, she has continued to attend to the health of her ailing father. Linda is a loving daughter who has sacrificially given much of her time and energy to the physical needs of her parents. She seems to have a special love and calling to help seniors. In fact, she counts one of the oldest women in our church as one of her closest friends. Sincerely, Rev. Tim Kirkes Pastor, San Dimas Wesleyan Church
Dear Linda and Staff, Thank you so much for the special, tender, loving care you gave our mom. We knew she could be a pistol at times but that never stopped you all from loving her. I never had to worry about her because I knew she was always in good hands. We are forever grateful for all of you. Thank you for the beautiful plant! Love you, Charmaine, Cezanne and Families
Hi Linda, I wanted to tell you that I dropped by to visit with Carmen on Thursday afternoon and was so happy to see how relaxed and calm and happy she is! She kept telling me what a beautiful house it is and how everyone is so nice. Every time she saw Julie (the caregiver), she told me, “that’s my gal and she takes good care of me”. We really didn’t expect for her to adjust so quickly, but she’s very happy. It was funny because she told me that she had been staying at a hotel in Glendora (the rehab) and then just started walking until she found this beautiful house and decided to stay. She said she knows she couldn’t live in her other house anymore, which was such a surprise to hear her say that, but also such a relief. Thank you for all your help and for your wonderful facility. We’re so happy that Carmen is adjusting so well and is so happy. Sincerely, Gayle Kemper We love you! Larry, Gail, Dennis, Gayle, Erik and Martha
Chloie’s Cottage staff, Thank you so much for the lovely flowers. The arrangement is truly a living memorial to my mom. You were all so kind to my mom and truly made her last years a happy time. The monthly activities gave her something to look forward to, and all the excellent day to day care she received was so much appreciated by our family. You are a wonderful people helping those that are not able to care for themselves. Thank you all for your help, support, and care of my mom, Brent and Janice Palmer & family
My mother Dora O’Brien has been living there on Belleview Ave in San Dimas with peace and happiness for some time now. I was able to return to my home in northern California, after settling my mother with Linda’s kind and efficient staff, and excellent care. This took such a burden of anxiety off my shoulders, knowing she would be so well loved and taken care of and given the “home” like attention I would give her myself if I could. I have worked in the medical profession for many years, and I am very critical about how a facility is governed and if the standards are high. I would wholeheartedly recommend Linda Renard as this is the way she runs her ministry to the elderly. I am thankful there are people out there like her to relieve people like my family of such an important decision in regards to our parents’ needs at this time of their lives. Sincerely, Annie O’Brien
Dennis and I consider the time that our mother, Carmen Kemper, spent at Chloie’s as a particularly special time in her life. We were most fortunate to have come across Chloie’s Cottage when we were looking for options for Mom. She changed dramatically during her time with you, becoming more content and happy. Julie, Nancy, and the other caregivers were marvelous. Her housemates were very kind and helpful resulting in a sincere friendship. The home is beautiful, as is the yard. It is truly a comfortable home, far beyond what is typical. The periodic field trips are a particularly bright experience for the ladies. We would also commend you for your leadership in providing a pleasant and professional environment. It is clear that you are sincere in what you do. My brother and I would recommend Chloie’s Cottage without reservation. It is a very special place for a very special period of time in the lives of special people. Thank you and the staff at Chloie’s for what you have meant to Mom and to us. Best wishes. Very truly yours, Lawrence Kemper Professor, University of La Verne
I just wanted you to know that I really appreciate all you did for Mom, especially the last few months when her health began to fail. I know she was not the easiest person to take care of and you were so patient with her. I wish you much success in your business. You are doing a great work that is so much needed and so little appreciated. May God continue to bless you with good health, wisdom, guidance and patience as you continue to serve the weak and sometimes forgotten ones of God’s children. Sincerely and thankfully, Virginia Sims
Dear Linda, It was wonderful to have dad with you at Chloie’s Cottage. He was comfortable and well taken care of. We appreciate all of your kindness, support, and tender loving care that you have given to everyone around you. You are an angel! May the peace and joy of Christmas be with you now and through the New Year. Much love, Margo Mayfield and family
Dear Linda and staff, My children and I want to let you know how much we appreciate your goodness and kindness toward my mother-in-law, Eoline. I know you made her days with you special. I send prayers of thanksgiving for all of you. God bless you all, Carol Engeron
