Testimonials
I’ve been in a few nursing homes through the years and I think Pikes Peak is different – the receptionist was nice and welcoming, the residents look clean and cared for, the management team listened and cared about my opinions. Overall I had a great experience and the inside looks nice and modernized. 5 Stars! If you are looking for a nursing home in the Springs – I would recommend bringing your family and friends to Pikes Peak Post Acute.
When I walk in, it’s clean and smells nice. I hear laughter in the halls because staff interact with residents treating them like their own family. The food also taste and look great and the staff are competent and skilled. They all truly care about the residents.

Business response
“The best part is that I don’t just care for patients—I care for someone’s mother, father, grandmother, or grandfather.”
“My stepdad is currently a patient at this nursing home, and our family has had several concerning experiences that we feel management should address. We understand healthcare facilities can be understaffed and stressful environments, and we appreciate the difficult work many caregivers do. However, respectful communication and proper patient care are extremely important. In our experience, interactions with Elona have often felt dismissive and unfriendly. On one occasion, when my daughter called to check on my stepdad’s condition, she felt she was spoken to abruptly and told to get off the phone, which we found discouraging and unprofessional. We have also had concerns regarding Nadene at the front desk. When my mother called and asked to be transferred to the nurse on my stepdad’s hall, she was questioned in a way that felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. On another occasion, while waiting for assistance to be taken to his room, she was told she could not wait there, which came across

Terrible nursing facility. Staff is rude and don’t much consider the wants and needs of patients. I was FALSELY accused of giving my partner medications! As if brown automatically means criminal. This place is not for your loved ones.

Mother in law was admitted here and was able to take herself to the bathroom with assistance after leaving rehab after a stroke when she arrived. When we asked a nurse to take her to the bathroom, we were told that she wasn’t able to go with assistance and inserted a catheter. After developing blood clots in her legs from lack of movement, she was admitted to the hospital and ultimately hospice. Upon arrival to the hospital, the condition of her mouth was atrocious. The doctor helping her even said he’d be willing to note the poor condition her mouth was in. After she passed, we went to gather her belongings and her tooth brush and tooth paste had not been moved or touched. Would highly recommend using another option if possible.
This review is going to be raw and true. My Ma was at a different nursing home when I found out she has been violated. I worked with the hospice my Ma was under and found this place. When I walked in it was busy and smelled like pee. My Ma took her last breath in this facility where she received the care you would expect. The nurses communicated with me, front staff was kind as the business office helped when needed. I have learned you don’t go off smells or a hall not looking up to par when you have the care that is the priority. Thank you to everyone who helped and took care of my Ma especially after a horrific traumatizing place prior.
Pikes Peak Post Acute, has been one blessing after another starting with the admissions process. Niki, the admissions director, has been a tremendous blessing ensuring that my husband’s residency would go well, and following his post acute phase, she continued helping process his long term residency. She has a heart for people and this was calming at such a difficult transition. Thank you Niki for caring and making a difference in our lives. Now, I want to reference the 800 Hall where my husband received his post acute rehab. This review is solely referring to staff employees not Agency fill ins. The 800 hall has a great nursing team, they work as a unit to make the hall run smoothly. Is it perfect, not always, but there are a number of the team that excel in their positions and I wish to acknowledge them for their excellent performances. I will reference one on call nurse, and her assigned CNA from the morning shift, and then one from the night shift. First mention is Diane, she takes
I love it when Healthcare teams have fun with their patients. Well done!!
Very nice and clean facility. The staff and nursing team have been wonderful.
Director of nursing is absolutely phenomenal!!!
I just have to say the Pikes Peak Post Acute on Union Boulevard, just amazing. when we decided to put my mom in a nursing home we were really scared to death the kind of care she would get. she was there for a year and a half in the memory care unit “the 700 Hall”❤️ they have been the most incredibly caring helpful wonderful CNAs and nurses ever. they loved my mom and they treated her so well. they called her mama and even at the end the management staff were so wonderful. they made everything so great for us at the end. they were so accommodating and comforting and I can’t say enough about Pikes Peak Post Acute for anyone worried about putting your family member somewhere I can tell you this is your best bet thank you so much again and again for all your wonderful care for my mom, you were all amazing!!!!!❤️💜 And a shout out to their new hospice unit. Very nice and very caring CNAs.
This is an outstanding acute rehab facility. I was bedridden for 10 months. Within 7 weeks I am now able to walk on my own due to the help of excellent PT/OT department. All the departments and staff including CNA’s and Nurses are outstanding. The response time for needing assistance is rapid. The food here is fantastic (key lime pie, fish, plenty of meat) terrific food. The treatment was so good I didn’t need to go to assisted living, I get to go home.
The facility is under new ownership and new management. There is a different feel in the building and I am excited to see the changes that are coming.
My mother in law moved in on June 29th it’s been 2 weeks and I still haven’t been able to talk with her! They do however ask if I want to leave a message. I don’t know who they give it to because like I’ve said it’s been 2 weeks!!
My grandmother has lived at this facility for 4 years. She absolutely loves it. They have a great variety of activities to choose from so she is never bored, the nursing staff is always kind and smiling when I come in and they adore my Grammy. The food is delicious. They do a BBQ on Fridays during the summer and it’s a big hit for all the residents. They take them all outside to get fresh air and grill outside, it’s great. If you’re thinking about a place to bring your family member. I would absolutely recommend this place.
