Pomona Vista Care Center

My mom was here for three months. Everyone was so wonderful. They did therapy and helped her get stronger. Every time I visited her the staff was super and always ready to help me and answer any questions I had. I definitely would recommend. I was able to take our Emotional Support Animal to visit her. Very greatful for everyone in Pomona Vista Care.

This place cared for my sister. The nurses did a great job. Everyone was always nice to me when I came to visit. My sister was happy here. I recommend this place. The people really care which is hard to find in these days.

This nursing home is a great place with good size and clean facilities. My mom is better than she was when she entered here. Thank you very much to the loving and kind staffs. Pomona Vista Nursing Center is recommend when your loved one is sick.

My father suffered a severe stroke that left him unable to walk and greatly affected his memory. The team at PVCC provided excellent care for 6 months. My father is now able to walk again with the therapy that was provided. During all my visits, phone calls, emails and multiple meetings to aide my father the entire team proved themselves kind, professional and very patient towards my dad and my family. Thank you again.

My sister is a resident. The ladies in the activity department… Heidi Loretta and Araceli …treat her with dignity and respect!! They all try to get her to participate in the activities. I’m very appreciative of their kind hearts.

Want to thank the activity staff Loretta B and Heidi E for making my step Father feel welcome and making him laugh, bringing him out of his shell a little thank you Ladies you’re amazing, also the LVN Doreen, Connie, and Shaiju for taking great care of him,.The social worker Monica is awesome and thank you Priscilla for always helping mom when she was visiting. Yes, I would recommend Pomona Vista.

The staff at Pomona Vista are incredibly kind and patient. The entire nursing staff, social workers, activities director and coordinators, physical therapists, and even the cafeteria employees are incredibly kind and create a warm and nurturing environment. My beloved aunt has been there for more than six months and I am deeply grateful for the love and the care that she has received from the entire staff at Pomona Vista. This is not a luxury environment, but in terms of love it is very generous and that is a rare luxury. Thank you to all the staff that treat my aunt with so much love and kindness, especially dear sweet Emily.

Patricia and Albert are awesome I feel that this is a great care facility they’re very professional and go above and beyond please give them a raise they deserve it.

I was a resident here for 3 months, I really want to thank the staff for helping me, especially the activity team for helping me get out of my comfort zone and made me become more sociable and attend activity groups. Thank you to social service, Monica for always being kind to me, and nurses merly and Doreen always greeted me with a smile and kind.

The best place and very professional and loving care facility with Monica! The period of my mom stays with Pomona Vista Care Center, it was a love and care for seniors who need extra attention to daily challenges. Their dedication and hard work paid off to each family to not worry about their loved ones. My sister in law is a resident here and I really love the way the activity department treats her! Heidi and Loretta are awesome! They include her in all their activities. My review is based on the help I have received from Monica for my aunt. She has been wonderful in responding quickly to my questions and resolving issues that arise. I am so thankful for her help. I have also enjoyed working with Brian and all of the PT team there. They are so good at what they do and encouraging my aunt.

Alyssa, is a wonderful activity assistant, she makes you feel welcome, she has such a sunny disposition, she works well with the patients, I love her when I come to visit and I will miss her when my friend leaves. I might come just to visit.

I’m giving a 5-star review for the Pomona Vista team. Alberto and the team facilitated a smooth transfer for my ailing mom and took away a lot of the anxiety associated with navigating California’s health care system. The medical and care team were seriously up to speed on Mom’s requirements and many medicines and had already built up a detailed profile by the time we first met with them to review the details. Mom gave the thumbs up and we are excited to have found Pomona Vista Care Center.

Exceptional care and compassion define the skilled nursing team at Pomona Vista. My mother received top-notch attention for 6 months, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The staff went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being, treating her like family every step of the way. This review should have been done months ago. My Moms name is Lily she has been under the care of Pomona Vista Care Center since November 2023 (that speaks for itself)… Everyone ALL STAFF is great here! (At PVCC everyone goes above and beyond their daily duties! Starting with Patricia – Thee Beautiful receptionist best Greeter I have ever met, everyone in Andrea’s office, also everyone who attends to my Mom daily & nightly very loving (even when my Mom is not being nice!) Especially to: Taline – the Dietary Supervisor (Taline takes her position to heart) Taline is always looking out for my mom’s interest when it comes to her meals and snacks she is the best always very welcoming! Joana – Activity Director, (Joana first of all her smile is very comforting) she keeps me up to date with my Mom’s activity condition, or just a simple phone call to update me with any changes going on around my Mom. Monica – Social Worker (Monica takes her position to another level) she is more than a social worker, Monica takes every call or conversation into consideration and handles all with care and immediate outcomes, you will never hear any negative words from Monica, she takes care of all delicately!!! Every day is a hard day when it comes to understanding my Moms condition, and accepting the sad reality of my Mom progressing with the illness she has, but with PVCC I am able to visit my Mom and leave with a deep comfort in my heart that my Mom is in good hands with everyone who attends to her day and night!!! My sister was a resident there and the staff treated her like family. She loved to hang out in the activity room. The activities staff always made her feel loved and included. The amount of time they spend with the residents playing games, making crafts, singing karaoke, having meals, etc.. is so important. They made her feel happy, busy, and loved. They had events for holidays, and birthdays, to make them feel special. My sister was not just sitting in a room or parked in a hallway. She had fun and was treated with dignity and love. I am forever grateful to all the staff but especially the activities staff.

I am very thankful and grateful and have nothing but great things to say about the staff and service my mother received at the Pomona Vista Care Center. Everyone was very welcoming and made my mother feel very comfortable. Monica the social worker is very sweet, helpful and knowledgable. Joana, Loretta and the two Heidi’s in activities were very fun and caring to my mother and everyone else there too. Her CNA Baltazar was for sure one of her favorites he took really great care of her as well as nurse Edith and Stella. The facility is clean, provides excellent meals and very entertaining for those who want to participate. I would highly recommend Pomona Vista if you or your loved one are in need of a skilled nursing facility.

Doing a great job. The staff is awesome. Everyone there is so patient with the patients. Mom (93 years old) was in need of skilled nursing and rehab after a fall and broken hip. Edgar and Albert worked hard to get her transferred from the hospital, dealing with the nightmare of red tape and insurance documentation and all that for us. Made it truly seamless for us. Even got her doing physical therapy. The first few weeks were rough as she was still in a lot of pain from the surgery. Now she seems to have turned a corner. She’s almost always smiling when we get there, she’s eating enough, and they’ve even got her standing up with her walker and walking a few steps with it. We never thought we’d see that again! Shout out to (among others): Joann & Heidi in Activities, Taline in Dietary, Brian and Stella in physical therapy, Nurses and CNA’s Kay, Esther, Elsa, Maria, Jennifer, Velma, Joel, Nilda, Receptionists Patricia & Daisy, Social Worker Monica. Many others whose names I can’t remember right now, but haven’t run into anyone not helpful. Honestly was a little nervous about putting her anywhere, but so glad she’s being so well taken care of in Pomona Vista.

My mother has had to stay at this facility. I know nothing is perfect, yet when my family or I have had any concerns the staff was there to listen and address them immediately. My mom has thrived here (gained weight etc). Thank you to the Staff for attending to my mother with Love and Kindness.

My mom has been at Pomona Vista since November 2023. I am so pleased with everyone at the facility. Everyone has been so attentive, helpful, understanding, and patient with my mom! My mom’s meals are cooked and served to her liking. Alberto, Monica, Adriana, the young receptionist (can’t remember her name), the kitchen sweet ladies, all the nurses in every position they hold are ALL Great and Super Amazing!!!! They helped my mom & I immediately! They welcomed my mom with open arms when all other facilities were not willing to help!!! I’m able to rest knowing my mom is in good hands! Thank you, POMONA VISTA for ALL you are doing!!!

My Dad was taken to this facility after being released from the hospital and I couldn’t have asked for better care! The facility is clean and every staff I have encountered has been efficient and incredibly kind! A couple weeks ago after visiting my Mom suffered a seizure outside and before I could even tell for help there were at least 6 nurses right by my side helping me. They jumped into action as if she were a patient rather than a visitor! I cannot express my gratitude enough. Should you or your loved one ever require rehabilitative medical care I would highly recommend Pomona Vista!

I cannot thank Pomona Vista enough for taking such great care of my dad these past 8 months via the VA. From the conscientious and attentive medical team to the sweet and kind staff, Pomona Vista is a shining star in quality of care. Never once did my father have a bed sore, even though he was bedridden much of the time. Moreover, this place is CLEAN. The only minor drawback is that some of the rooms are dated however, the facility is getting updates which is great. Thank you Pomona Vista!

The staff at Pomona Vista took wonderful care of my mom for a full 10 YEARS while she battled Alzheimer’s. We didn’t live close so we couldn’t check in on her regularly, but every time we showed up unannounced her room was spotless, she was dressed, clean, smelled nice, and we could tell they were attending to all the little details like dental and foot care. She wasn’t able to speak for herself so we had to rely on the staff for everything. They patiently hand fed her meals, talked to her even though she couldn’t talk back, and made sure she had her favorite music to listen to and the right amount of sunshine every day. They let me decorate her room with happy flower and bird decals so it would feel like home. And they were always responsive, up to the very end when we were checking in on her daily and having to make the toughest decisions. The guilt of putting a loved one in a home can be overwhelming, but Pomona Vista eased my worries that she was always going to be looked after just fine.

My Mother was at Pomona Vista a couple months ago. I was nervous about her going to a nursing home. I toured one other place but after coming here and speaking to the nursing director Nancy I was convinced this was the right place for my Mother. They took such good care of her. The nurses were so caring. My Mother has a lot of allergies and has a weak stomach but they adjusted her meals perfectly for her. I am so blessed we found this place. My Mother is back home with me much stronger. I recommend this place. Thank you to Nancy, Monica and everyone.

My mother was a resident of Pomona Vista for almost a decade. She had early onset Alzheimer’s and it almost broke us to have to find a new home for her. The staff at Pomona Vista cared for her like she was theirs. She really was part of their family. They all knew her by her first name and knew all of us (mom had 5 daughters). We brought our kids to meet grandma there, we spent many Mother’s Days there in the courtyard. The amazing nurses knew what her favorite foods were and how she likes her headrest and all the tiny things that you hope for but never expect. The staff knew that about all the residents and the staff looked happy to be there. No attitude and just kindness. As my mom got sicker they would check with us for each step and help us make the best choices for her. Near the end, someone would would sit next to her bed and spoon feed her, tell her stories and jokes and just be with her. You never want to put your mom in a Care Center, you just don’t, but it didn’t feel like one, it felt like her home.

My mom was here and I’m blessed to say that she had a great experience. She was very weak so I wanted to be by her side and they were flexible with my visiting hours. The nurses are just lovely. They are always smiling and you can tell they love their job. My mom was only there for a couple of weeks but in those weeks she got a lot better. They accommodated her and made her feel like she was at home not just a nursing home.

My mother was in the care of the staff at Pomona Vista for over a decade. We toured many facilities before selecting Pomona Vista for her final home and we are still beyond grateful. It has a homey cozy feel despite being a healthcare facility. Though it was clean it never felt sterile or clinical like many homes. It almost has the cheerful atmosphere of an elementary school. We new she would still experience some joy while in their care. She was always looked after well and the staff were so gentle and kind with her. It did not matter if we announced a visit or just stopped by, my mother was always comfortable, and clean. Often she was sunning herself in the courtyard with other residents while listening to the radio, or even enjoying activities and games in the common area. When she became non-ambulatory and far less responsive they continued to bring her out allowing her to experience the activities by being among them. She was never shut away and left alone. They fed her by hand every meal and would comment to us about her love of ice cream and chocolate. They got to know her. Beyond that they treated her with respect and dignity no matter how far into the stages of Alzheimer’s she progressed and how little she responded. Moving a loved one to a home is a gut wrenching and painful process. All you can ask is to know that where your loved one is placed is a good home. My mother took her last breath with all the kind people at Pomona Vista. They even attended her funeral. In a time when I could not care for my mother the way she deserved, Pomona Vista stepped in and gave my family a little peace of mind. I will be grateful to them for the rest of my days.
