Roseleaf provides daily activities that is person-centered and offered in a dementia village concept. Person-centered means care that is specific and customized to the resident and/or group of residents based on clinical and social needs. This includes, but not limited to music and memory, aroma therapy, exercise, brain games, outings, etc. And, the dementia village concept is a “neighborhood” environment that includes separate and themed spaces within the community such as a bistro, theater room, coffee corner, and library.

Accepted Answer

Roseleaf pricing is based on geographic location and the local market in the assisted living space. More specifically, pricing is based on resident’s choice of room types and care needs as determined based on the resident’s physician assessment and identification of diagnosis and care needs determined as part of the move-in process.

There are no hidden fees. We are more than happy to quote our listed pricing, but please remember that the final costs are a combination of resident choices for room types, resident’s physician assessment, identification of diagnosis, and determined care needs. All fees are listed and posted in accordance with Federal and State regulations including an available rate sheet on move-in.

Roseleaf has a handicapped equipped van for medical appointments and outings. Additionally, a mid-size bus for larger activities and needs.

What makes the chef or dining program at Roseleaf exceptional?

Accepted Answer

The dining program and menu is directed by a Registered Dietician for the Roseleaf Communities which is nutritionally balanced and includes a changing menu throughout the year that concentrates on seasonal choices.

Residents can expect a healthy and nutritionally balanced menu and a chef that can include special requests and preferences. In between meal snacks are also available.

What safety features or security measures does Roseleaf offer to your residents?

Accepted Answer

Resident safety is always a primary focus. The residents are assessed for safety awareness and physical needs with their physician prior to move-in and part of the process. The community has indoor and outdoor secured spaces, monitoring systems, and staff that is continually trained per state regulations on specifically on dementia care and interventions.

How does Roseleaf keep residents’ families informed about their loved ones?

Our resident care coordinators are available for phone, in-person, or care conferences. We are available to discuss resident care with residents, family and medical personnel. Additionally, we have made efforts to upgrade the Roseleaf website and post information and updates in real time.

What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Roseleaf during daytime and nighttime hours?

Roseleaf is staffed based on resident needs and not numbers. When there are many residents and many needs, the staffing is increased accordingly. However, typically staffing is greater on 1st and 2nd shift (typically 1-8), and somewhat less during hours of sleep (typically 1-15).

Does Roseleaf accept dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?

We have found through time and experience, and with our focus of dementia care, it is not safe or advised to allow dogs and cats. Unfortunately, in this environment, the risk outweighs the benefits including safety and allergy issues that may arise and the ability (or not) of the resident to be able to take care of their pet.

What ongoing training does the staff receive in dementia care?

The staff must complete all dementia care and other training as outlined by the Department of Social Services (DSS). This includes the Executive Director who must meet mandatory requirements for continuing education every 2 years to maintain their license in good standing.
