Sunrise Chevy Chase staff that work with my Dad & other residents with different types of dementia are simply awesome! They show love for their jobs in their personal approach and interactions with each resident. They know my Dad and other residents’ history, interests and preferences and the staff integrate those elements into their day. The staff demonstrate joyfulness just being present, working their shift. My sister and I are grateful!

Recently my mother experienced a bad fall with some broken bones that landed her in the hospital. With only a few days to research skilled rehab options post 3 short days in hospital I went to work. It quickly became apparent that the Sunrise “Road Home” program was a big notch up from many of the typical skilled nursing facilities in the area. After meeting with Nikka and the rest of the excellent Sunrise team plus a tour of the facilities it was clear this was an excellent choice. Nikka is a wonderful communicator, describing exactly what was included in the program and with complete transparency. No unwanted surprises. To be frank, we were under a lot of pressure to find my mother a safe comfortable environment to recover but Nikka and her team delivered exactly what was discussed. Of course a few initial speed bumps as my mother and the care managers got in sync with her particular needs, but everyone was super positive and focused on finding quick solutions. We recently moved our grandmother from a less-than-ideal rehab center into Sunrise of Chevy Chase 5 months ago, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made for her well-being—and our peace of mind. From the start, the team went above and beyond to make what is usually a complicated and emotional process as smooth as possible. They worked swiftly to get the necessary paperwork done, and the Director of Sales (Sharonda Bey) even spent over an hour on the phone with us—on a weekend—making sure everything was in place. That kind of dedication is rare, and it really set the tone for what we’ve come to expect from this community. Since moving in, Grandma has been treated with nothing but dignity, kindness, and genuine care. The care team lead by Marlyn Hughes is incredibly communicative and always available to answer questions or provide updates. Sunrise staff was amazing. The care given to my dad was unparalleled. The staff are dedicated and truly care. I highly recommend this senior living facility for your loved ones.
