“You would think my mother would want to stay in the state where they are known for their seniors, assisted-living, and nursing homes…Florida! But no… she wanted to go to her old stomping grounds on Long Island. Sure enough, I was able to find the Regency in Glen Cove. From the moment we walked in, I knew it was going to be the best living environment for her. From the tour, the recreational activities, to the care, living conditions, and people that work there, I have no problem leaving my mother 1200 miles away to her new place called home and I thank you.”

Testimonials
“My uncle was a very private, quiet gentleman. I know, at first, the adjustment must have been very difficult for him, but he did exceedingly well- I believe he actually thrived. I remember when he accepted the microphone, that Beth handed him, at his l02nd Birthday celebration – he spoke eloquently and thanked everyone in the dining room at dinner that night. I was truly astounded! Again, thank you to everyone for the wonderful care he received from all of you at The Regency.”
My mom made the move to the Regency from another assisted living facility. It was one of the best decisions I made for my mom. She is so much happier and she is getting the best care. She has made great friends and the staff is top-notch. They actually care and follow up with everything. They are like family and I no longer have to worry if my mom is eating and I know she is safe. My mother used to call me 30-50 times a day at the other facility. Now we talk once a day, and every time I go she is busy with all the activities they provide. Thank you Stella and the whole Regency staff!
We reluctantly moved Mom out of her home into Safe Harbor at The Regency in Glen Cove. After 2 years of amazing care, we are so happy! Stella and Erica and all the staff are all so caring and experienced with memory care residents. Communication is great and staff turnover is rare. We highly recommend Safe Harbor for a parent needing memory care.
My father-in-law has been at the Regency for two months and we could not be more pleased. The entire staff is kind, caring and respectful. Stella, Amanda, Mitch and our wonderful aid Rockeysha have all been so responsive and genuinely helpful from day one. My father in law is a unique case and is taking a while to adjust but everyone is truly invested in finding a solution that best fits his needs. He was living at another AL facility prior to the Regency and there is no comparison. The level of care and compassion is exceptional. The facility is clean and beautifully maintained. The service, the food, the housekeeping and daily activities are all on point. Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough about the incredible The Regency!!! My Mom moved in almost two months ago. She was very nervous at first but within a week became comfortable all due to the incredible staff and family-like feeling from the staff. This would not be possible without the incredible leadership of Stella, the director who is beyond involved and so kind. The rest of the staff are all outstanding. My sister and I are relieved to know my Mom is being well cared for as she is completely dependent for all of her personal needs. The Regency is immaculate, newly renovated with beautiful shared common areas all throughout the building. Look no further than The Regency for a loving and supportive assisted living residence for your parent or loved one.
The newly renovated Regency at Glen Cove community is warm and inviting, and the staff is fantastic!
Absolutely amazing facility where everyone is like a big family!
The Regency has recently been renovated which is really nice. It has a homey vibe with friendly staff.
Stella and staff are amazing and caring. The staff is quick to respond to residents needs and they are all very interpersonal. Thank you for all your support!
I’m so incredibly happy I chose the Regency for my grandmother’s needs. The staff is SO kind and take care of their residents as if they were their own family. So grateful!
The Regency staff is caring, attentive and dedicated! They offer many different daily activities that keep their guests busy and entertained!
I have worked with the Regency at Glen Cove for years now, specifically Stella, and I have been so impressed by how responsive, professional, and attentive she and the whole team are. A pleasure to do business with always!
My parents are residents at the Regency – they are very well cared for and in a safe environment. The facility is beautiful and the staff is caring and supportive of their needs.
My mom has only been at the Regency for a few months, but she’s already making friends and eating very well, thanks to Chef Pat. Everyone is positive and happy to assist whenever needed, which provides great peace of mind. I highly recommend The Regency.
My Mom (very independent 90yr)moved in a few months ago after an illness with every intention of going home after getting back on feet. But…. She fell in love with place. The staff, actvities and people won her heart.
It is now 9 months later and I just want to reiterate that this facility deserves all the accolades they get. From tender loving professional care to fun filled activities The Regency is an exceptional facility
The Regency is the most fabulous facility for seniors! They are kind thoughtful and every employee is special. My mom is so happy here. She is 94 years young and will live a long life in this beautiful facility.
I love the Regency. My Aunt was very leery to come. Now she is loving life and participating in the activities throughout the day . She loves the food and the staff even more. Friendly and warm.
I can’t say enough for the care my mother has gotten at The Regency! Every staff member has been warm and compassionate and the facility is immaculate. Moving Mom from my own home was a decision I agonized over for years, but ten minutes into the tour I knew it was the right place.
My Dad has been a resident at the Regency for about 1-1/2 years. What a wonderful place! The staff is great. The facility is top shelf. They have good activities. Meals are great too! My Dad loves being here.
My mom entered The Regency at the age of 90 and it was amazing to watch how she became energized again and made so many new friends. The staff is wonderful, the facility is extremely clean and beautiful, the activities are fun and engaging, and the respect I witnessed between residents and staff was amazing. They really excel at making the twilight years some of the best years and I cannot say enough good things.
Incredible place full of amazing people. The Director, Stella Shank, sets the tone. She is smart, compassionate, engaged and so devoted to her staff and residents. Everyone is kind and helpful. The facilities are lovely with ample communal space. They have fun activities for everyone.
Our mom, Elizabeth, moved into The Regency about six months ago, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff is extremely kind, caring, loving, attentive and treats everyone with respect and dignity. Everyone goes above and beyond! A special shoutout to Stella, Violeta, Annmarie, Alan, and Aliyah. From the moment you walk into the beautiful lobby you feel the love. The front desk staff greets you with a friendly smile. There are so many engaging activities that help keep our mom’s day filled with great social interactions and positive relationships. We know our mom is safe and most importantly, happy! The Regency is truly a blessing for our mom and our family!
We are so happy that we chose The Regency at Glen Cove for our Dad. It’s a beautiful place to live. The staff are all very courteous and always looking out for the residents. He was voted in as King of the Regency last year! He is really enjoying life at The Regency. I highly recommend it.
My Uncle lived at the Regency for his last two years. He was loved and well cared for by the entire staff. They always attended to his medical, social and personal needs and he became one of the Regency “family”. The staff at the Regency from Stella (the Director) on down were helpful and responsive whenever needed. The Regency is a community of people who truly seem to care for one another. I would strongly recommend the Regency.
From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and care that defines this community. The environment is not only beautiful and well-maintained, but also genuinely welcoming for residents and families alike.
My mom has been living at The Regency for more than two years, and our experience keeps getting better. When you walk in the door you feel the love—from Jonathan or Donna at the reception desk who will greet you with a smile and know your family’s names; to Natasha and Violetta, the on-site nurses who will answer your questions with patience and expertise; to John and Larry, who will fix anything with a smile; to Pat, the head chef who creates delicious menus; to Anne-Marie, who fills the activity calendar with fun events and engaging outings; to Stella, who directs it all with genuine empathy and appreciation for the aging people in her care. My mom’s needs keep changing—that’s the nature of aging—and the team at The Regency is with us every step of the way, as we respond to her needs and plan for the future. The facility is beautiful, both because the team keeps it spotless, and because it’s full of beautiful people doing hard and important work. Thank you to everyone at The Regency
Assisted Living is a place we historically have come to dread. Well my mom has the opposite story and is THRIVING at 90. I know this would not be the case if she did not have this BEAUTIFUL community. I would give the Regency and all it’s employees 10 stars if I could.
5 Stars Mike Stanco
The team at the Regency takes great care of my mom. When my father passed away, the transition was difficult, but Stella and the staff have been incredibly supportive and understanding. My mom loves the meals! Every time we talk, she tells me how delicious the food tastes. Knowing she is eating well gives me peace of mind. There are plenty of activities offered. I just hope she will try more of them soon. So while she still is adjusting, I am thankful she is in a safe and welcoming place.
My 90-year-old beautiful mother moved into The Regency in April of 2025. Her life improved with the love, care, and social interactions the moment she walked in the door. EVERY single time I speak to her on the phone, she says how well they take care of her and how she feels so blessed and grateful to be there. Stella is an outstanding Director and an even better human and she expects the same from her staff. Also, having had experience with similar type places with my inlaws and Dad, The Regency never looks short on staff. I am always impressed by the number of staff there when I visit and how they all know the names of each resident and show kindness and patience with every interaction. I LOVE this place and my heart, and my mind are peaceful because my mother could not live her best life, like she is doing, anywhere else. My siblings and I are truly grateful to everyone that works there. You truly make a difference.
Cannot say enough about The Regency at Glen Cove! I brought my mother out from an Assisted Living facility in California to have her close to me. Has been the BEST experience with an incredible staff that goes above & beyond. With a family like environment, good food and fun activities & events, everyday my mother says how happy she is. She just turned 102 and leave it to the team- they threw the most amazing birthday celebration for her in grand style! Feel blessed that she is so loved and taken care of each and everyday. A big shout out to the Regency team! Full of gratitude for all that you do … not only for my mom…but all the residents.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at The Regency of Glen Cove for the exceptional care our Mom received there over the past ten months before her recent passing.
I moved my parents, 88 and 89, to the Regency from their home in Michigan three months ago and have been very happy with the decision. This was not a sudden and hurried decision. We discussed the idea of their moving to assisted living near me for two or three years before acting upon it. So I shopped around, visiting 6 or 7 similar communities near me. A few were closer to me, but I felt the Regency would be the best fit.
I can’t say enough good things about the Regency. The staff are all wonderfully patient and caring and it stems from the strong leadership and kindness of the administration. It’s comforting to know that my Mom Lilian is safe and in good hands.
The staff or a the regency are the most attentive and loving people. The entire staff is involved in every resident’s care 24/7. I have only wonderful things to say about the care my mother, who is the oldest person living there at 103! They show her love and respect and all her needs are being met with the utmost care and understanding for all her needs. They have keep her happy and engaged, and meet every physical and emotional challenge with empathy and a depth of experience that is phenomenal. And they deal with family members with the same care. They there a party for my mother’s 103rd birthday attended by everyone there—truly a special event at a special place.
My parents are celebrating one year at the Regency this week, as they celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary! They are happy to enjoy each day together without the worries of life: prescription refills, running out of toothpaste, what to cook for dinner…. Every staff person at the Regency meticulously attends to their needs and wants, and always with a smile 🙂 And I have peace of mind knowing they are living their lives to the fullest. What more can we ask for our loved ones? A HUGE thank you to everyone at the Regency.
My mom has been in the Safe Harbor memory care unit for over 2 years. She has done great there. The staff is attentive, caring and responsive. I feel better knowing she is there.
The Regency is unlike the other assisted livings. It is such a family-friendly atmosphere where the staff have been there for many years and everyone makes sure the residents are well taken care of. From the front desk, servers, med techs, nurses and executive staff I’ve never had more confidence in recommending an Alf to your loved one!
My mother moved into the Regency in May of 2024. We looked at several places for her and the Regency by far had the most warm and friendly environment. The staff is very caring and she has developed relationships with many of them. No matter how many times she accidentally turns off her cable box she can call Larry the maintenance man to come and “fix” it. She has made many friends and goes on trips often – shopping, lunch, and outdoor concerts. Located in downtown Glen Cove it has much more of a neighborhood feel than others we looked at. Highly recommend!
I have family residing at The Regency. Every time we get together I hear so much appreciation and gratitude for everything The Regency does to provide care! The food is delicious. I receive daily updates of meals… it seems dinner meals are always different! …I’m including a little sampling of recent pictures!
Stella and her staff at The Regency are Heaven sent! You can truly feel the love there. My brother Dan and I picked the perfect place for our beautiful Mother to live. She feels safe and cared for, so blessed.
The most caring and dedicated staff! A fun loving team that makes sure everyone is celebrated and cared for no matter what level they are at.
My mother wished to move into the Regency for a number of reasons, the first being a strong relationship with the Executive Director, Stella Shank, one of the best, nicest, most responsive, and caring individuals I’ve encountered. She’s a marvelous person. And the other people working there follow her lead; they’re caring yet sensitive and compassionate. They work hard to get resident involvement without pushing. My mother is involved and active, yet sets her own schedule and never feels overwhelmed. Everyone is friendly and supportive. The facility is clean, the food is very good, rooms are comfortable and accommodating, and the public spaces are lovely. This is the kind of community we all should aspire to be a part of.
The Regency at Glen Cove is absolutely the best in so many ways. My parents have been at the Regency for a year and they love it – much preferring it to the aide they had in their home. They now have a community of people who make life interesting. My mom couldn’t tell you what month it was when she moved in a year ago, and now can recite the date and what activities are on the schedule for the day. The staff are so kind and attentive, and seem to care about their community. The wellness team keeps up with ordering and adminstering medications, making doctor’s appointments and even driving them to the appointments. The chef meets the needs of people with dietary requirements. The recreation department (Shoutout to AnneMarie!) offers sooooo many activities – including things like a Mets game, museum trips and trips to the local bakery for cannolis as well as daily exercise, movies and other more traditional activities.
Our mom couldn’t be happier! The Regency has been the best decision we’ve made. The staff is like family and there’s always something fun happening.
The Regency at Glen Cove is the perfect place for my sister! It has all the benefits, amenities and activities you could need within all aspects of the facility, while maintaining a feeling of home, community and family. However, what really makes The Regency stand out above the rest is the staff! Everyone here from the management and administrative staff to the wellness department, dining staff, activities people and maintenance & housekeeping staff, make every effort to help with what you need. They go out of their way to know the residents and their families. Further, I have found the management to be very skilled and tactful in managing some of the more difficult issues that can come up between family members and residents, ensuring that everyone’s needs are met and adapting where necessary.
It was not an easy decision to move my dad into an assisted living facility. Stella and her amazing staff made the transition very easy. My dad was welcomed by a warm, friendly and professional staff. We are very happy with our decision to move him there. The Regency is a beautiful new home for my dad. Thank you Stella and staff.
The Regency is a WONDERFUL place!!! The whole entire staff is incredibly warm, caring and attentive to each and every one of the residents. They take such good care of my mom and treat her like their own family member. Stella, the director, is truly amazing. I have never seen anyone love their job so much. She has a smile and a hug for everyone, and her door is always open – especially to my mom who loves to sit and chat with Stella! Violetta, Natacha, Karla, Mercy and the whole wellness staff truly care about the residents and attend to all their needs with compassion. I am so grateful to them for the wonderful care they give to my mom everyday. Jade and Carol, the receptionists, are both so loving and kind, always looking out for my mom and helping her with anything she needs. They go above and beyond. I am so grateful to have found the Regency and highly recommend it!!
Today, my father moved into the Regency. It’s been a hard day, weeks, months, and years leading here, but we finally opted with the Regency because of Director Stella Shank, who is warm, funny, loving, professional, and she treats her staff well. Dad made a good transition today, and when the inevitable bumps occur, I feel comforted and relieved that he has Stella and staff. Angelina Stanco helped us get here, and the two are a dynamic duo of love and super powers in redirecting tough situations. I think I will finally be able to breathe a little more freely. The Regency is lovely, the food great, the staff long term. I feel confident we made the right choice for my dad.
My mom was in a different assisted living facility run by a well respected chain. It was a horrible experience and the management team was mostly absent. After 3 months we switched to the Regency. What a difference! The entire leadership team was actively involved with the transition making it much more successful. They continue to be extremely available and responsive. My mom has been here in the memory unit for over a year now and we feel very supported and feel she is getting very good care from the meals to the medical care to the daily staff. As someone else said, they are not perfect, no one is, but they do a great job and aim for perfection. I highly recommend the Regency!
We’re so happy to have found the perfect home for my Dad. The level of care, the activities, the food, the staff, the cleanliness and management are incomparable. Stella and Staff work to create a comfortable friendly, warm environment. The Regency puts the ‘gold’ in its residents ‘golden’ years! Our family is very grateful.
After much research, my sisters and I chose The Regency for our parents. They went in as a couple continuing to live together all set up By Stella Shank. If there are needs, wants, or desires, Stella will do anything in her power to make it happen. The entire staff becomes family. The wellness staff is so attentive and having Dr Gambino on staff completes the 5 star treatment the residents receive. PT/OT are available if needed also. The staff is so caring and concerned about the residents. We came here for the people!
The Regency at Glen Cove is one of the best assisted livings in Nassau County. Each department is top-notch. Wellness, administration, activities. Every staff member truly cares for the residents.
I love this place and most importantly Mom loves it too!! Where do I start— firstly it is spotless and I even noticed this afternoon that the hallways have a most pleasant floral smell. Second, the staff—they are excellent. The care staff is warm, friendly, loving and gentle with the residents. They were quick to learn Mom’s specific needs and quirks. The medical staff is professional and on top of the residents needs. The administration always gets me prompt answers to any concerns I might have. Then there is the food—-Fresh and tasty — not easy to do when cooking hundreds of meals a day! Mom says she feels like she is eating in a 5-Star restaurant on a daily basis. The residents always have something to do there, movies, ice cream socials, card games, crafts and special events themed along the lines of current events: holidays, the Olympics…
A million thanks to the Regency at Glen Cove where my aunt, Frances, called home for many years. The Regency provided the care and kindness she required. She was a quiet lady but really enjoyed bingo and the movie theatre. The Regency was amazing during the pandemic allowing window and FaceTime visits. Everyone I encountered from the receptionist, housekeeping, food service cooks and servers, medical, recreations and director, Stella, it was always a pleasant experience and guidance to handle each stage of aging. Frances and I were treated like family. I highly recommend the facility as they provided much peace knowing she was there and also recommending her aide/companion who is truly an angel on Earth. I will miss my aunt and all the people I met over the years at the Regency. Thank you, stay safe and well.
My 92-year-old mother has been at The Regency since February 2022, and I can finally sleep well, knowing she’s in good hands. We moved her from another facility that didn’t work out for us. The executive Director, Stella, is A+ and staff is too. They have hard jobs, yet they are always smiling. Everyone has made my mother feel cared for and respected. They play around with her, talk with her, joke with her, and even hug on her, and I never have to worry about her medications or medical care. It’s just a very well-run organization made up of a very special group of people who care deeply and love what they do. Despite her challenges with vision loss, loneliness, and dementia, my mom’s spirits are better than they have been in a long time, and she often comments on how kind everyone is. My brothers and I are very grateful to Stella and her team.
Both my mother and sister are residents of The Regency for the past few years. It’s got a warm, homey feeling which is so nice. Mom always says it’s a cheerful place. My sister enjoys socializing in the living room area with staff and other residents. There is always someone to talk to. I like it because I know my loved ones are safe and in good hands. All staff are very friendly, know each resident really well, and are willing to assist in any capacity. The Director, Stella, runs The Regency as if it’s one big family! Her glass front office is right in the middle of the action so she knows what’s going on and her door is always open to any resident who wants to walk in with a question, comment, or just talk. The fact that Stella has been there for decades and worked her way up through the ranks, makes The Regency that much more special.
Nearly five years ago when Mom needed more assistance than we could have provided, she moved into the Regency. It was a wonderful decision! The Regency’s staff is top-notch and the food is delicious. The Regency provides a caring, loving atmosphere for its residents. It is comforting for us, Mom’s children, to be able to go to sleep at night knowing that she is being well-taken care of. God bless the Regency!
The Regency has been an incredible resource for our family. We started with both our parents moving in and the transition was very smooth. The staff genuinely cared for them and appreciated how difficult it was to make this kind of a life change. They helped us navigate a complicated medical situation for our Dad. When he passed recently, we were so impressed with how much support the staff gave to our mom. We could not be happier with how our well she has adjusted to life after his passing. She truly feels safe and cared for at The Regency. We cannot thank the staff at the Regency enough for the relief it brings us to hear how she is engaging and connecting like never before. This is a special place.
When my mother reached a point where she could no longer live alone, my family and I made the difficult decision to either find a live-in companion for her or find a beautiful home that could be her silver lining. The goal was for her to continue to live her amazing life with dignity, laughter, fun, surrounded by new friends and old ones too, in a loving, caring and safe environment. Being a lifelong Glen Cove resident, my mother belonged to several organizations and was well known around town. I took the enormous task to ask everyone I knew about assisted living settings and caretakers. I visited every residency on the North Shore of Long Island. My family and I toured many and met great people along the way. We decided that Mom was very social and needed to be around people. It was important to her that she had a purpose to wear her red lipstick.
This is a special acknowledgement and thank you for the outstanding performance of the staff. It is always a pleasure to pop in at any time of the day or day of week and to find the entrance, lobby, dining room, hallways, etc clean, nicely decorated and in general in 5* hotel quality condition. The staff (all titles) are attentive to the residents and always friendly. The program activities are varied, and judging from the number of participants I’ve observed, very appealing. They are not just paper and white board plans to impress a surveyor (or family members) but actually occur as scheduled. BRAVO!
I am beyond overjoyed and grateful for all the loving care you give to my dad. (And quite frankly, ALL the residents at The Regency). There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude for the amazing effort you put into making this wonderful “100th” Birthday extravaganza for my father. You are known to put 100% into the work you do but this goes way above that. The joy on my dad’s face was everything to our family. We are so lucky to have found you and we are beyond grateful for the quality of life here at The Regency and especially Stella. Thank you all,
In honor of my Mother’s upcoming 92 nd Birthday and almost 5 year anniversary of residing at the Regency, I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to the staff. Thank you for the positive effect of your genuine care and kindness, and for the clean cheerful facilities you provide.
There have been 2 times in the past 15 years that I have needed help with being a caregiver. The Regency Assisted Living provided the beacon of light, restored hope, and provided a better quality of life & sociability than I could do on my own. I was given peace of mind and gratitude that they were in such good hands.
We found that the Regency At Glen Cove offers the winning combination of a warm, inviting, and safe environment for our elderly parents along with a thoughtful and caring staff. What a relief since I can finally now relax and feel confident knowing that my parents are in great hands.
What a blessing it is to have the Regency at Glen Cove in our lives. Mom was always so independent but when she turned 91, she agreed that it was time to relocate to a place where she received more care. We looked at so many places, but the minute we walked into the Regency, we knew that it was going to be her home. Everyone had a smile on their face and welcomed us with open arms.
Many, many thanks to you and the entire team at The Regency in what has been a very trying year. I appreciate all the hard work that is being done to make sure mom and the other residents are kept safe and healthy.
Shortly after celebrating Mom’s 92nd birthday, our family came to the realization that it would be best to sell our family’s house, where she had lived for more than 50 years. The task of finding a suitable living arrangement for her loomed large – Mom loved her home and neighborhood – but she agreed it was time. We toured several places, and after completing our search several months later, we all agreed that The Regency offered the best of everything that we sought in a new home for Mom. This has proven true in many ways over the past year and a half since Mom became a resident of The Regency. The congenial staff is attentive to Mom’s needs; knowing they are there to assist her means so much to our family. The Maintenance Team was extremely helpful in setting up Mom’s room when she moved in, and it felt like home from her first day there. Mom immediately accepted the Recreation staff’s invitations to participate in various activities and enjoys a wide variety of offerings. She partic
The Regency is a godsend. Bless them all for the incredible work they do.
HOME – There’s No Place Like Home! A place where you feel most comfortable, love, and happiness! That is what The Regency is and so much more to their residents. My Mom never wanted to live with any of her children. She wanted her independence to the end. And at The Regency she had it …with a little help from “her friends” or should I say “extended family”. Each and every one of the staff makes your loved one feel safe and comfortable. All the comforts of “HOME” – I couldn’t begin to list each department being afraid I’d leave someone out, not meaningfully. All the TLC your loved one needs at their fingertips just a phone call away to the receptionist. And as busy as they all may be, always greeting your loved one with a smile.
I want to thank the Regency for so many things. My mom has been at the Regency now for a year and a half and has embraced all that is offered to her with grace and a smile. She loves talking to everyone and they love her. She exercises every day, she’s involved with games that occur daily, even though she says she never wins.
You would think my mother would want to stay in the state where they are known for their seniors, assisted-living, and nursing homes…Florida! But no… she wanted to go to her old stomping grounds on Long Island. Sure enough, I was able to find the Regency in Glen Cove. From the moment we walked in, I knew it was going to be the best living environment for her. From the tour, the recreational activities, to the care, living conditions, and people that work there, I have no problem leaving my mother 1200 miles away to her new place called home and I thank you.
My parents moved in to The Regency seven years ago, when they were both driving and getting around pretty well. They quickly made many friends amongst the staff and found it a great place to live as an independent couple. When my father got ill, The Regency was able to ramp up care and support him as he needed it, while encouraging my mother to remain active. Through his illness and passing, the staff were attentive, loving and patient and managed to somehow keep my mother focused on her life as well as her sadness. Now 92, my mother loves The Regency and gets all of the attention and care she needs.I love The Regency. The staff is warm and supportive and very communicative. Whenever there’s an incident that involves my mother, I get a call with a reassuring voice telling me what I need to know. The staff all know her well and take wonderful care of her. I visit weekly and despite a lifetime of training from Mom to be a tough critic, I give The Regency the highest marks.
I want to thank you so much for treating and caring for my mother as family. From the very beginning, I was positive I chose the right place for my mother and I was right. Thanks to your personal touch mom (and I) felt at home and comfortable. Her medical care was excellent and I felt so safe with her under your wing.
We all deeply appreciate your expression of sympathy, support and comfort you provided to us during this difficult time.
On behalf of the Woman’s Club of Glen Cove, I would like to thank you for allowing us to meet at the Regency. You and your staff have been very helpful each month setting up the room and providing drinks and snacks. Because of you we have been able to meet in a cozy and quiet room thus allowing us the privacy necessary to accomplish the business of the Woman’s Club business. Again, many thanks to you and your staff for your generosity towards us and our club.
The Regency Assisted Living- Our Silver Lining
Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough to express to you our appreciation for the kindness, care, compassion and support you provided to Shirley in her years at The Regency.
“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” ~ Mother Theresa
Thank you so much for your kind invitation for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was delicious- quite a treat! And everyone was so cordial! Thank you for all of your generosity.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy
Please thank your residents and staff for donating school supplies to our Fill-a-Backpack program. Each year, the Friends of the Glen Cove Youth Board, in cooperation with the Glen Cove Youth Bureau provide back to school supplies to needy children in Glen Cove. This year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide supplies for 266 students. We truly appreciate your support. Again, many thanks for your generosity.
Thank you so much for explaining to us about all the jobs at the Regency. It was interesting to learn that you work as a team. Your team works really hard to help the residents. The Regency is really beautiful and fancy. It was really nice to see the senior citizens have beautiful apartments, a patio, dining room and everything else. We loved to hear about Angelina, Chef Pat, John, Karen and Kim’s jobs and experience. Thank you to Chef Pat for giving us water and dessert. We think Chef Pat and John are very funny. We also love our gift bags.
Oh boy, what a great cannoli party!
Thank you for sponsoring the Morgan Park Summer Music Festival, now in our 56th year!
Thank you for your support for our movie night which was held on March 25th and your donation of Penne a La Vodka. We appreciate your thoughtfulness.

To All my Dear Friends at The Regency “Hotel” as Mom called it. We will never be able to thank you enough for helping my mom during her stay with you. You are all wonderful people. You should be very proud of the work you do.
I want to take the time to thank all of the staff that touched the life of my Uncle, Herbert Fischer, during his five year residency at the Regency.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation for the continued excellent care you all gave to our Dad during his time at The Regency. These past weeks have been very difficult for us all. Again, our sincere appreciation.
Thank you for participating in our 17th Annual Culinary Delights. We were so glad to have you be a part of our event. As the Chamber’s mission is to “enhance the health of its member businesses” this event is dedicated to all those in the food related business. We value your membership.
Thank you so much for the generous donation of your fabulous penne a la cognac, for our Italian Day Celebration. It went beautifully with the lunch we were serving. The seniors truly loved it! You are an amazing chef, and I really enjoyed your creative use of flavors.
Glen Cove Office of Senior Services“At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done.
Thank you both for your demonstration in how to make cannoli & cream for the cannoli at our Life Enrichment Center. It was a delicious treat and enjoyed by both staff and seniors.
Carol called and said, “I’ve found the place.” We went together three days later. She was right. Six and a half years ago, we brought mom to her new home. Home, not because it was a place to eat and sleep, but home, because it was a place of caring and love.
Thank you and your staff so very much for a lovely celebration in honor of my uncle’s 102nd birthday. The cake and lunch (kudos to John) in the “special” dining room with my uncle, Richard and Gail, were wonderful.

Thank you for your thoughtful visit, kind words and hugs during this difficult time. I could not have made it without your support. How lucky I was to have you and the Regency “Family” at mom’s side and my side for the last 2 ½ years. There is no better place that we could have been.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your participation with the 2013 Senior Day Celebration and your service as a Senior Day Committee Member. Your generous and gracious donation of your time and resources enabled the City of Glen Cove to host a fantastic array of events to honor our senior citizens and give them the recognition they deserve.
Thank you to Beth, Angelina, Diana and all of the wonderful, beautiful staff at The Regency. Everyone’s love and support during this difficult time will always be remembered.

I would like to thank the residents and staff of The Regency for their very generous donations to our Thanksgiving Food Drive.
I felt the need to write about my mother’s 85th birthday. My mom Emily Gibbs lives at The Regency in Glen Cove. She has been there for five years. When I decided to do an All Day Birthday Bash I went to Stella Shank, Director of Special Projects to tell her my plan. I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful she is. My mom’s birthday was November 28th, and it couldn’t have turned out any better. It started with a surprise breakfast with banners and balloons. At lunch time I asked Chef Pat to prepare my mom’s favorite meal. We sat in the formal dining room where we were served lamb chops and lobster tail. Then the staff came in singing Happy Birthday. Chef Pat went over the top. The food was fabulous. You should have seen my mother’s face, she was grinning from ear to ear. The next step was to prepare for the evening party. When I returned later, the staff had already decorated the living room for me. The tablecloths were on, balloons blown, confetti sprinkled everywhere. The banner was hu
On behalf of the senior citizens who attended the Thanksgiving dinner at the Regency, we thank you and your staff for remembering those seniors who otherwise would have been alone during this holiday season. Everyone said how special and welcomes they were made to feel by your staff. They said that the dinner was delicious and plentiful. This invitation meant so much to them, especially knowing that they were not forgotten and it truly helped to make their Thanksgiving Day special. The staff and seniors from the Glen Cove Senior Center wish you and the members of the Regency a very Healthy and Happy Holiday Season with family and friends and we thank you for being such a friend to us.
Thank you for a very pleasant evening. The food was DELICIOUS! It was a very nice way for us to meet new people.
I would like to express my sincere thank you for showing my daughter and I the elegant rooms at The Regency. The dining room was magnificent and the lunch was delicious. Your gracious Chef Pat made our dining experience very pleasant. He truly is an important asset to the lovely Regency. You are a gracious host and you add that special grace that made me feel the warmth that comes with the lovely Regency.
I want to thank you for your generous donation of $306 to support Music and Memory in its quest to improve the quality of life of the elderly through personalized music. It’s this approach which not only helps those with Alzheimer’s disease maintain their identity and feel more engaged in life, but also offers a variety of benefits to others facing a wide range of physical and emotional challenges.
Barbara, Thomas, Chewie and I want to thank you, on behalf of Murray, for making us part of your extended family these past two years. From the moment, Beth took us on our first tour of the Regency, we’ve felt in the presence of caring professionals — who make it their business to provide a loving and nourishing environment. We especially want to remember his three dinner companions Sylvia, Phyllis, and Regina whose wit and friendship at the dinner table was complimented by the fine food.
I want to thank you and your staff for the excellent care that you have provided for my father during his stay at your facility. I also want to thank you for the peace of mind that it proved for me personally in knowing that he was in good hands. I know he will miss all of you but I hope to provide a family environment for him and get him back on the dock to do some fishing which was a major interest in his life back in Florida.
Glen Cove AARP Chapter 3407 will be celebrating its 28th anniversary this September. In addition to our social and educational activities, we hold several fundraisers in support of the indigent and impoverished in our city. Our members knit wool blankets for the veterans at Northport Hospital who are very appreciative. We support AARP’s legislative activities in Albany to assure that state government services are available to the needy elderly. We also want to thank THE REGENCY AT GLEN COVE for hosting our annual “installation of officers” at their beautiful outdoor patio. We are fortunate to have this wonderful community in Glen Cove.
Thank you so much for all you have done for our dear Aunt “Ro”. She enjoyed her stay at The Regency although it was all too brief. We appreciate the special care and attention that was always available from each of you and from your staff. You can be very proud of the work that you do every day.
The staff and seniors at Double Day Babcock Senior Center thank you for the very delicious crustless apple pie a la mode that you made for us. Your time and efforts in preparing for 50+ people is greatly appreciated.
I want to thank each and every one of you for being so wonderful to us seniors at the Doubleday Babcock Senior Center. Your lovely array of goodies and the time you put in to entertain us is a very gracious thing. I for one thoroughly enjoy the things you do. The cakes and everything you make are the best I’ve ever eaten. I truly look forward to your visits. Now I have a double reason to thank you too. I won the beautiful gift basket you have away, and I was simply thrilled. Its such a lovely gift and I can use everything it contains. Thank you with all my heart. It is sincerely appreciated.
When you approached us about doing the “This is Your Life” event, I was struck with a little fear and trepidation but I knew my husband John would enjoy it. And I was right, in fact, we both enjoyed it very much as well did our family and friends. It was a tremendous success thanks to you and the others at The Regency. The best to you and the others at The Regency. Happy New Year to all!
Just a note to thank you again for everything you did for my mother.
Thank you very much for the delicious lunch at your beautiful facility. We have taken a tour and saw the wonderful living quarters plus activities. We hope and wish that when our time comes we will be able to enjoy the wonderful Regency. Thank you again!
Both my Mom and I appreciate your concern during her long illness. She did not let a day go by without mentioning her desire to get back to The Regency. She considered it home. She liked her fellow residents, with whom she so quickly became friendly. She really valued the staff, who she always described as being “so nice”. I want you and all the Regency to know that my family and I are grateful for how you welcomed my mother. She was so very happy! You should be very proud of yourself and your team. You all do a great job!
A compliment to you and your staff: The Mothers’ Day Brunch was a resounding success. The choices were varied and excellent, and there was plenty to go around. I saw many smiling and happy faces. The Mimosas and berries added that special touch.
I am writing to you to commend Carmen’s actions with my mother the other night. She responded to my mother’s distress and request to go to the hospital in a very caring, and expedient manner.
Just a word to say “thanks” for a delightful Caribbean experience the other evening. You all really know how to put on a great party! The place looked terrific, complete with palm trees! The pina coladas were a real treat (I’ll bet the guys making them won’t want to look at one for a long time!)
In the short time I have been a resident of the Regency, I have had the benefit of exceptional kindness and service from many staff members. I would be remiss in not bringing the following to your attention.
On behalf of the family, and personally, I wish to thank you and the staff of the Regency for providing superior care to my Aunt, Eleanore Michels, for the last six years. You have contributed significantly to making her last days as pleasant as possible.
John’s “This Is Your Life” on Saturday was just terrific! Again my thanks to all the pleasant staff you’ve assembled and especially to Erica and Joanna. John is so happy to be at The Regency and I’m happy that he’s happy!
Now that I am doing so well going through the healing process since my fall on October 20, at 4pm in front of the Glen Cove Post Office, I would like to commend Isaac for helping me.
Once again I would like to congratulate and thank you for the beautiful Halloween decorations. Macy’s windows missed their chance when they missed you.
On behalf of the entire Glen Cove High School Guidance Department, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation in the Career Fair. By giving so generously of your time, you provided our students with a powerful example of self-pride, strong work ethic and commitment to the community.
People like you make this world a better place…You all have given me something special forever held on a shelf in my heart.
All of this is due in no small part to The Regency, the care and attention, the warmth from the staff and the environment. The entire experience has provided my mother with an extraordinary quality of life for which we are very grateful.
